On her 26th birthday, Britney Spears put all her worries aside grabbed her friends and hit the party scene at the Scandinavian Style Mansion in Bel Air on Saturday.  

Surrounded by close friends, including her cousin and former assistant Alli Sims and Sam Lutfi, the troubled pop star started her night with the Scandinavian Style Party, hosted by Sharon Stone, where she was reunited with her one time best friend, Paris Hilton, OK! magazine reported.

After hitting the gifting area, the group took over a private table where Britney was brought a chocolate birthday cake, while the crowd sang "Happy Birthday" for her.

"She was smiling and looked really happy," one partygoer was quoted by OK! as saying.

Sporting a black mini dress, the mother-of-two covered herself up with a free fur jacket and some platinum jewelry from the event.

"Britney looked slim and pretty," OK! Editor-in-chief Sarah Ivens said. "I just kept thinking how much better it was this time around than the last time we spent time with her. We really hope this birthday and her new age will be a turning point."

Soon afterwards, Paris showed up "posing for the camera and eating it up," as she joined Britney’s group and headed for the penthouse at the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills where the party carried on until early Sunday morning.

According to reports, "Aside from going to the party for the free fur jacket that she got along with some platinum jewelry, (Britney) may have had an ulterior motive in going."

"She arrived with her cousin Alli, manager Sam and a driver, but on her departure it appeared she had also picked up a handsome looking young man who accompanied her back to her hotel," a source said.
