Britney Promotes “Circus” Like in the Good Old Days

Britney Spears has been the center of media attention for years, since her teenage years when she hit the charts, all through her break-up from Justin Timberlake, her marriage to Kevin Federline, her two pregnancies and births, but also through her more troubled times, which included alcohol abuse, drug abuse, shaving her head, letting herself go – physically and some evidence of child neglect from the young mother’s part.

However shocking some of her actions may have been, nothing bodes better than a marvelous comeback. Even though her 2007 VMA performance was more than lacking, Britney is not giving up, and her new single “Womanizer” and album “Circus” seem to be the true comeback of the pop princess.

During the last four years, Britney has had few live performances and hasn’t been touring at all. During today’s edition of “Good Morning America,” Britney made public the official dates for the tour supporting her new album, “Circus”, which was also released today. The opening concert of the tour will take place on March 3rd, at the New Orleans Arena, situated in Britney Spear’s home state. In North America, the singer will hold no less than 25 concerts, and these are the first string of live shows that Britney will be starring in, after a few lip-synching venues last year, at the House of Blues. The opening act for Britney’s show will be the increasingly popular Pussycat Dolls. In June, Britney will also perform twice at the London O2 Arena. “Circus” is intensely promoted, benefiting from a full-fledged tour, a video – “Womanizer”, the documentary “For the Record” and a Rolling Stone cover.
