Britney Spears said she is sorry for marrying Kevin Federline and that she did it for all the wrong reasons. The fallen star gave the details in a clip from "Britney: For the Record," which will air on MTV late this month.
“Britney: For The Record” is a 90-minute documentary in which the singer discusses her personal life. She talked about that time when she shaved her head and the marriage to backup dancer Kevin Federline. As for the marriage, she said she regrets it and that she did it just for the idea.
"I think I married for all the wrong reasons," Spears confessed.
"Instead of following my heart and, like, doing something that made me really happy…I just did it because...for just, like, the idea of everything."
Britney married K-Fed in 2004. They had two children together: Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2. Britney filed for divorce two years later, but she lost the custody of the kids for Federline because, back then, she was behaving like crazy.
The documentary is set to air on MTV on November 30. Two days later, Britney Spears, will release her new LP entitled “Circus.” The singer said that the new album is, as usual, an expression of what she has been going through.
"It's such a part of me, the record, 'cause of what I've gone through," Britney said.
In another clip of the “Britney: For The Record” documentary, the singer talks about how she uses her work as a dancer and singer to deal with the stress.
“For me, art is therapy, because it's like you're expressing yourself in such a spiritual way.”
