Everybody knows that teen sex leads to the most numerous unwanted pregnancies. Teen pregnancy does not sound like a good idea at all, but how can teenager be stopped from having sex? Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's 18-year-old daughter, Bristol, thinks that is not going to happen.
This young lady told Fox News' Greta Van Susteren on Monday night that the abstinence her mother preaches is "not realistic at all."
Bristol's pregnancy became public last summer just a few days after Senator John McCain selected her mother to be his running mate for the Republican presidential race. And yes, this is the kind of news that can shake up a presidential campaign, which it surely did. In spite of all the commotion, Bristol Palin gave birth to a boy on the 28th of December 2008, whom she named Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston.
During her interview with Van Susteren, Bristol talked about how difficult it was to be a teen mom and how bad of an idea was to be knocked up at such age. She also recalled the tough moment when she, her boyfriend, Levi Johnston, and another friend told her parents about the pregnancy.
Bristol seemed very determined as she stated it was her decision to go through with the pregnancy regardless of the Governor’s anti-abortion views. Now she is getting all the help she needs in raising the infant from many members of her family. The couple has no immediate plans of getting married before they graduate from school and start a career.
