Right after Jennifer Aniston's first candid comments on Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie since her split from the actor, hit the press, her ex-husband reportedly called her to complain about the upcoming interview in Vogue magazine.
As it turns out, Brad and Angelina were "totally thrown" by Jennifer's statements and believed that she had already moved on, "and wouldn't want to reopen this old wound," a report in Chicago Sun-Times read.
Moreover, the handsome 44-year-old actor grabbed his phone and rang up his ex-wife to share his dissatisfaction. But it was Hollywood's sex symbol Brad Pitt, who fell for Angelina Jolie on the set of their movie "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" reportedly cheating on his then wife, Jennifer. And the marriage fell apart because of it.
Whatever the case is, Jennifer's spokesman refused to comment on the matter simply e-mailing, ''That's personal information. ... That really is no one's business.''
Upon her interview with Vogue magazine in which she famously called Jolie "uncool" for admitting she and Pitt fell in love when the latter was still married, despite vehement denials four years ago when it all happened, Aniston appeared on Oprah Winfrey's show to defend her statements and discuss about her life and career furthermore.
The 39-year-old actress, a longtime friend of Oprah's, had a natural and friendly rapport with the media mogul and her interview, which was taped yesterday, had a better flow than her ex husband’s last week.
"I basically just answered it as honestly as I could," the "Marley and Me" star told Oprah on her revealing interview in the December issue of Vogue magazine.
"There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening," Aniston told Vogue about how Jolie admitted she her excitement to see her then married "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," co-star Pitt everyday. "I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss."
She acted very friendly and graciously answered the questions about her ex husband and his new partner, unlike Brad Pitt who skipped a question or two. However, Aniston had nothing but kind words for Pitt, and said the two now enjoy a cordial relationship.
"He's done some amazing things in the last couple of years," she told Oprah in on the show set to air on Thursday. "So I just think he's doing great."
Having already opened up about her personal life in her Vogue interview, Aniston was candid and even gushed about her relationship with rocker John Mayer.
"It's funny when you hit a place in a relationship and you both realize, We maybe need to do something else, but you still really, really love each other. I deeply, deeply care about him; we talk, we adore one another. And that's where it is," the actress said.
