better season. After setting a record as the only team to finish the season
unbeaten since 1972, the New England Patriots had to have the MVP award too. The
Associated Press NFL Most Valuable Player Award was announced on Saturday that
Tom Brady got 49 of the 50 possible votes and his contribution to the Patriots’
breakthrough season was acknowledged once more.
“I have always been a huge
football fan and will always have great respect for the history of this game. I
am grateful to all of the voters for any consideration I was given. It is a
tremendous honor and I am sure it is one that my family will one day look back
on with great pride,’ said Brady.

is highly considered as one of the best quarterback in the NFL. He had
previously won three Super Bowls, two Super Bowl MVP awards and holds the
record for most touchdowns in a regular season.
It is the first time a Patriot
is named Most Valuable Player of the Year: “He’s our MVP. I think we’ve known
that for quite some time, whether he’s the media or writers’ – whoever votes –
MVP, he’s our MVP,” linebacker Mike Vrabel said
(The Boston Globe).
“Tom is an amazing player. Every
year I have been here, he has always been the MVP in my eyes, hands down. He is
going to be remembered as one of the best that ever played in this league, and
he has definitely put on a clinic this year with the guys that he has around
him. He deserves it, and I am happy for him,” said defensive Ty Warren,
according to the same source.
This was without a doubt the best
season Brady has had in his eight year career, and this definitely reflected on
his team and teammates. Brady, 30, finished leader In the NFL in touchdown passes, the biggest completion
percentage (68,9) and 4,806 passing yards, the third total in NFL history.
