Brad Pitt is serious about taking to court anyone who will
publish recent photographs of his family that were taken by paparazzi. The
actor’s lawyers said that Brad Pitt will take legal action if any publication shows
new pictures of his family.
According to a letter that was published by the U.S. Web
site The Smoking Gun, the pictures of Brad Pitt and his family in France were “surreptitiously”
taken by paparazzi who used a powerful telephoto lens. The pictures were sold
to a buyer. In case the photos get published, it would violate the actor’s
right to privacy.
According to Reuters, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, wife
and mother of his children, have already sold exclusive pictures rights to the
first photos of their twins for $11 million, which they will give to charity.
Brad Pitt threatened legal action against anyone who will publish the photos a
week after Angelina Jolie and twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon left the
hospital in Nice. The family rented a villa in Provence.
Yael Holtkamp, Brad Pitt’s lawyer, said that one photo
agency which had sold the photos stopped the sales and removed the pictures
from its Web site. The agency agreed to “cease and desist from any further sale
and dissemination” of the pictures and removed them from its Web site.
The 33-year-old Oscar winner Angelina Jolie gave
birth on July 12 at a hospital in southern France. She gave birth by caesarean
section at the Lenval hospital located on the fancy Promenade des Anglais
waterfront drive in Nice. The Jolie-Pitt family now has 8 members. The
four other Jolie-Pitt children are: Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; Zahara, 3; and Shiloh, 2.
