Yael Holtkamp, Brad Pitt's lawyer, announced that the actor is very serious about his family's privacy. According to the lawyer, Pitt will sue any publication that will publish the pictures that were taken by paparazzi and depicting the actor engaging in family activities at his residence in France.
The lawyer said that the pictures in question were taken “surreptitiously” and that the paparazzi used extremely powerful telephoto lenses in order to shoot images that they otherwise wouldn't have had access to. Furthermore, it seems that publishing such material would violate both Californian and French privacy laws, making it very easy for the actor to file lawsuits against the people that use them to attract audience for their sites or magazines.
Mr. Yael Holtkamp also said that he is aware of one agency, whose name he didn't want to mention, that was already in possession of the photos and that took them down from its website and stopped selling them the moment it heard about the risks that are involved.
Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt's girlfriend, gave birth to twins on July 12, an event that attracted much media attention and that increased the demand in photos of the couple and their family. According to Reuters, the two actors have successfully negotiated with an agency to sell the first official pictures of the twins for $11 million. As usual, the couple will donate this money to charity.
Even though Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie didn't get married, the actor is the adoptive father of three of her children, Maddox, Pax and Zahara. The couple's other three children, including twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon, and daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt are the fruit of their relationship.
