Actor Brad Garrett is the latest to have had just about enough of persistent photographers following him around: a video posted online Monday shows him pushing a camera away.
Brad Garrett, famous for playing the taciturn and jealous policeman brother in “Everybody Loves Raymond,” is now the star of a video posted online by TMZ Monday.
The 47-year-old actor was leaving a restaurant Sunday night in Malibu, so TMZ reports, when he was surrounded by photographers. The video shows him chatting with them politely and then losing his cool when one of the people there insults him.
Garrett reacted by hitting over a camera held by a photographer working for TMZ.com, according to TMZ managing editor Harvey Levin.
Levin told the Daily News Monday that the photographer was injured. “His eye is a little bit swollen and he had a headache,” Levin said. TMZ’s managing editor also added that they wouldn’t press charges, as the camera was not deteriorated.
One would think though that photographers know the risk they’re taking. Someone is bound to really mind at one time or another and really react.
Garrett is currently starring in the Fox sitcom “’Til Death,” alongside Joely Fisher. He gained fame through the very successful CBS sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond,” aired from 1996 to 2005.
His role as Robert Barone earned him five Emmy nominations and three Emmy Awards for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy.
His recent projects include lending his voice to characters in the animated motion pictures “Underdog” and “Ratatouille.” He also had roles in 2006’s “Night at the Museum,” starring Ben Stiller and Owen Nelson and in “Music and Lyrics,” starring Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant.
