The Bridgewater man suspected
of murdering his former wife in Medfield last week was found dead Monday night
in North Carolina.
Police say Andrew Boisvert, 38, of 25 Summerdale Farms, Bridgewater appeared to
have hanged himself. He was charged last Friday of murder in the slaying of
Margaret Ninos, 47, a delivery nurse at Boston
hospital, who was found dead in her Medfield home last Wednesday, the Boston
Globe reported.
The Norfolk County District Attorney’s office reported
Monday that a man matching Boisvert’s description appeared to have hanged himself
in a remote part of a rest area off Interstate 77 near Statesville, N.C.
A rest stop worker found his car, a black 1998 Jeep Wrangler, which was given
to him by his attorney, William Scannel around 8:51 in a remote part of the
rest stop, about an hour north of Charlotte.
Local law enforcement officials say the appearance of the man found hanging
is consistent with the photo on the license of Andrew Boisvert found in the
pocket of the dead man, according to the district attorney's office.
He also had in his possession an envelope addressed to law
enforcement whose contents indicated he was wanted for murder in Massachusetts.
North Carolina
officials will determine the formal cause of death and final identification in
the coming days.
Boisvert was the father of Ninos’ 7-year-old daughter and
was involved in a custody battle with her.
