The body of a 24-year old woman was found Wednesday on the roof a club where rapper Lil' Kim held her birthday party this Sunday. The woman, who was identified as Ingrid Rivera, was beaten to death with a blunt object. The police believe that this object might have been a Champaign bottle, but further investigation is needed before any conclusion would be drawn.
People at the party said that everything seemed to be O.K., and that no incidents that might have made them suspicious happened. According to the New York Times, Lisa Raye McCoy-Misick, the wife of the prime minister of the Turks and Caicos Islands, said that “When I was there, everything was cool. But we didn’t stay very long. Celebrities never do. And everything was fine then.”
The police suspect that Rivera, who lived in Queens, was murdered by one of the club's employees. This is based on the fact that the body was found in an utility closet on the top of the building, which meant that the murderer was a person who new the layout of the building.
The managers of the 'Spotlight Live' club where the body was found have all the reasons in the world to start worrying. Earlier this year a murder took place in front of the club, the persons involved being some of the club's customers that night.
Back in 2005, Lil' Kim was convicted to one year of prison after she lied to a grand jury about a shooting that took place in 2001 in front of a Manhattan studio and in which two of her friends were involved. According to the TMZ site, persons close to the rapper said that Lil' Kim knows nothing of the events that might have took place at her birthday party.
