Blog All You Want On Facebook with Blog It

Six Apart blog maker announced its plans to “make blogging better for everyone” and unveiled the first cross-platform blogging application for Facebook. Blog It allows users to post on blogs from Facebook and sends their posts to Blogger, TypePad, LiveJournal, Twitter, Tumblr, Pownce, Movable Type, Vox or WordPress.

“We are excited to launch the first cross-platform blogging application for Facebook – Blog It Powered by TypePad. We think Blog It bring some of the best social aspects of Facebook to blogging, making it easy to blog from within Facebook and tell people you know all around the web that you’re doing so,” the company said in a statement.

For starters, users will need to add the Blog It application on Facebook and set the details for their account, enabling them to blog and share blogs with friends on Facebook, Twitter and Pownce.

“By bridging the gap between blogging and social networking, Six Apart brings social tools to bloggers all over the web no matter the publishing platform they use,” said David Recordon, Open Platforms Tech Lead at Six Apart. “Blog It is a power tool for bloggers who want to spread the word to their friends and colleagues about the content they're creating.”

Staying connected is important, and making blogging fun and easy is just as important. Six Apart says about Blog It that it brings the best social aspects of Facebook to blogging, which makes it easy to stay in touch with friends on their web and always be informed of what they’re posting.

The company described Blog It as part of a new trend of web applications that are attempting to break barriers between sites, improve user experience, and give users more power and choice over what they post, where they post and who sees it.
