Blizzard Confirms A New MMO

A job announcement on Blizzard’s website has ignited the speculations about a new game coming from World of Warcraft’s creators.

Blizzard is hiring a Lead 3D Character Artist, a Lead 3D Environment Artist, a Senior 3D Character Artist, a 3D Background Artist and an Environment Texture Artist Senior 3D Character Animator for a game that is called so far a Next-Gen MMO (Massively multiplayer online).

While the speculations were going wild on Blizzard’s forum, an official poster confirmed that the game is not related to World of Warcraft, but the poster didn’t release any other details.

As you can imagine, every possibility is now open. We will see a World of Starcraft or A World of Diablo? Maybe Diablo 3? Who knows…

But as the game was labeled as a next-gen MMO, maybe Blizzard is working on a game for a gaming console?

So far there are already close to 13 million Xbox 360s sold and 14 million Wiis so a game title signed by Blizzard could become an instant hit. As Blizzard will announce new details, we will keep you posted.
