Starcraft 2 might just be one of the most anticipated games of this decade with the fans, nostalgic of the gameplay and entangling story the original Starcraft offered, literally hunting for any information regarding the sequel.
Blizzard revealed at its annual convention, BlizzCon, some pretty interesting facts about Starcraft 2. First of all, and of the most importance, it seems that the game will be split up and releases as three different products. Three products for the three stories it follows: Terrans: Wings of Liberty, Zerg: Heart of the Swarm and Protoss: Legacy of the Void.
The Starcraft 2 trilogy will offer, in accordance with each title, the opportunity of single player campaigns with the three races in the game, Terrans, Zerg and Protoss. But fans of the series won’t be completely pleased knowing that three different releases means that the wait will be longer than compared to one single release.
Voices are heard saying that the time gamers should wait for each of the game to appear could be quite long and considering the fact that Starcraft is one of the most awaited games, this is truly a saddening piece of news.
On the other hand, BlizzCon also revealed that each single player campaign will have approximately 35 missions and that each ending will allow players to better understand the story behind Starcraft. Blizzard’s convention was also the place were some new things about Diablo 3 were revealed.
Apparently, Diablo will have a new playable class, The Wizard, which will focus mostly on magical abilities. All in all, Blizzard managed to pull it off and BlizzCon was a success.
