“Black Ice”: AC/DC Launches Timeless New Rock Album

AC/DC’s latest album "Black Ice" is most likely the rock band’s best album in decades and not because the other albums weren’t that good or because the “Black Ice” came after an eight-year pause.

The living legends of rock music hadn’t released a great album since "For Those About to Rock We Salute You" and that was a long time ago. However, AC/DC’s formula of success is probably among the most interesting in the industry. Few bands rely on the indulgence of audiences such as AC/DC.

AC/DC’s latest album sound pretty much the same as their other successful albums, but an improvement can be easily sensed. It’s like they have a basic product which they develop and better with each new release. AC/DC don’t make major changes. They make only good ones. Over their career of 33 years and 14 studio albums, the legendary band didn’t flirt with change much, but it did with awesomeness.

What’s still amazing about AC/DC is that they still have the resources to write and perform songs about the power of rock after dozens of songs on that theme. On the new album, songs such as "Rock N' Roll Train," "Rock N' Roll Dream," "She Likes Rock N' Roll" and "Rocking All the Way" are in that same category and have the same intensity and impact as their precursors.

“Black Ice” is being sold exclusively through Wal-Mart and www.acdc.com. AC/DC will also launch its first tour in eight years on January 23 at American Airlines Center. The tickets to this gig sold out almost instantly.
