Beyonce Knowles made a quick stop by the hospital after her show at America’s St. Louis’ Scottrade Centre on Sunday night, to visit two of her fans who got injured when a fireworks display went wrong at the concert.
According to recent reports, fireworks meant for the stage accidentally landed in the audience, causing minor injuries for two attendees who were transported straight to Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Right after the gig, the 25-year-old singer paid them a short visit in the Emergency Room to check how they were doing.
"She was just very concerned about the people injured in the audience," a nurse told People magazine.
"It was unannounced and we kept it very low-key so that she could spend time with them. I just thought it was a great thing for someone of her stature to do."
In a statement on her website beyonce.com, the singer said that she found the incident - footage of which has appeared on several video sharing websites - "very unfortunate".
"I visited the two fans who were injured in hospital right after the show and I am grateful that they will both be alright," she wrote.
"My life and career have been blessed with the support of the best fans in the world. Their safety and well-being will always be a top priority and one of my biggest concerns."
