Beyonce, Timberlake Among American Music Awards Favorites

Besides Justin Timberlake and Beyonce, "American Idol" finalist Chris Daughtry’s rock band and Linkin Park also received three nods each.

The 2007 American Music Awards nominees were announced during a press conference at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Tuesday.

The list of contenders also includes Akon, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Young Jeezy, T.I. and "American Idol" winner Carrie Underwood, each of them having received a nomination.

The 35th annual American Music Awards ceremony, scheduled to air on November 18 on ABC from the new Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, will be hosted by American comedian Jimmy Kimmel who will returns on the show for the fourth time.

According to the show’s producers, Daughtry, Celine Dion, Fergie and Rihanna are expected to perform.

This year’s AMAs mark the first time in the show’s history when the winners will be chosen by online voting at www.ama.abc.com (up until November 1st.)
