After a successful recovery from the terrible plane crash they were involved in, DJ AM and drummer Travis Barker will reportedly return to the stage and perform this New Year’s Eve.
This would be the first time the two musician share a stage after the deadly place crash. The gig: the New Year's Nation's Los Angeles New Year's Eve Party, hosted by West Hollywood’s The Lot. Barker said he is very enthused by the comeback, The Associated Press news agency reported.
"I'm ready to get back on stage with AM and continue to rock the house," Barker said.
"I'm very excited to bring in the New Year in my hometown of L.A.," he added.
TRVSDJAM’s New Year’s Eve performance will stream live on the internet and will be broadcasted across the country at other New Year’s Nation bashes. The last time the two performed on stage together was on September 19, at a T-Mobile-sponsored event in South Carolina. After that show the private plane they were in crashed while trying to take off. Four passengers aboard it, including Barker's assistant, "Little" Chris Baker, and his security guard, Charles "Che" Still, died in the fiery crash. They were killed instantly when the plane crashed. The apparent cause of the crash was a blowout tire.
Barker and DJ AM (Adam Goldstein) survived the crash but suffered second- and third-degree burns and they went through extensive therapy in burn centers in Georgia and Los Angeles.
