Bale Keeps Silent At “Dark Knight’s” Spain Premiere

Despite rumors that his marriage to Sandra Blazic is on the rocks, Christian Bale appeared at the Dark Knight’s Spanish premiere accompanied by his smiling wife.

He looked relaxed and signed autographs for about half an hour at the Barcelona gala, but refused to give any information about his recent “assault” in London against his mother and sister.

The 34-year-old actor, who is usually very discreet about his private life, was the center of attention these days, after he was put under arrest Tuesday by London police officers, for assaulting the two members of his family.

Bale denied the allegations and was released on bail after spending four hours at a London police station.

The actor blamed his mother of insulting his wife, but he reportedly wishes to have left the room at the moment, instead of making a scene. According to Mail Online, sources close to him said that his mother became “very provocative in an argument they were having.” They also said that, also he was much “stressed,” Bale “didn’t lay a finger on anyone.”

The incident uncovered other stories about Christian Bale and his hot temper. He apparently got upset on a number of film sets, but it is only because he wants everything to be perfectly done, he explained.

There are also claims that a reason for Bale’s behavior would be the death of Heath Ledger, which deeply affected the main Batman star.

Bale befriended Ledger when they both played Bob Dylan in the 2007 movie “I’m Not There,” and the two were very close since then. Bale’s friends say Ledger’s death was a “massive blow” for him.

In a recent interview, Bale admitted he suffered from depression and insomnia from time to time, but, mysterious as always, he refused to comment on the possible causes of his condition.

At the “Knight’s” Spanish premiere, he also chose to speak to reporters only about the film.  He was smiling while waiting for the movie to be screened.

“The Dark Knight” has earned more than $200 million in its first week of release in North America, making more money than the previous Batman sequel grossed at the box office during its entire four-month run.
