A study that will be published next month in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine suggests that babies born in fall, before the flu season are more susceptible to suffering from childhood asthma than other babies, born in other months of the year.

The study was conducted by analyzing thousand of medical files of children and the results clearly point to the fact that babies born in fall are more likely to suffer from asthma. Researchers believe that this happens because fall is just before the flu and cold season, two affections babies are very likely to get.
Doctors advise couples to try and not conceive during autumn as their latest research indicates that children born in this particular time of the year have a 30% chance to suffer from childhood asthma. Other factors that may trigger asthma are smoking and stress.
