“Dark Knight” star Christian Bale famously lost his temper on the set of his upcoming movie “Terminator Salvation” a few months back, and now a recording of his lash-out emerged online and it’s not looking pretty.

The tape was obtained by celebrity gossip website TMZ.com features a voice said to be Bale’s screaming his lungs out after a director of photography, Shane Hurlbut, accidentally ruined a scene by walking onto the set.

“I want you off the set! You p***k!...No, don't just be sorry! Think for one f**king second! What the f**k are you doing? Are you professional or not?” shouted Bale, who was arrested last July for reportedly assaulting his mother and sister in a London hotel room.

Moreover, the actor threatened to resign from the movie unless the director of photography at fault wouldn’t be fired. Several hundred people -- including Military Police -- heard the outburst, which was described as “intense.”

As Hurlbut attempted to explain what happened and apologize again, Bale became even angrier, shouting: “I'm going to f***ing kick your f***ing ass.”

However, assistant director Bruce Franklin defended Bale’s angry rant insisting that the actor was a “consummate professional” and had just been having a bad day. Apparently, Bale got pissed because he had been very focused on shooting one of the most “emotional” scenes in the movie when he was interrupted.

“It has always been a good experience with him,” Franklin he told E! News, adding that the actor was very intensely involved in his character, “He didn't walk around like that all day long. It was just a moment and it passed.”
