Ashley Dupré has finally broken the silence. Eliot Spitzer’s
lover-for-a-fee has offered ABC News’ Diane Sawyer an interview for the “20/20”
show, which is currently dealing with prostitution. The episode, which is
scheduled to air on Friday, November 21, will feature information on how Ashley
Dupré became a high-paid call girl, but is unlikely to offer details upon the
Spitzer affair.
An unnamed source told The New York Daily News that the show
would only reveal stories with regard to prostitution and that people longing
for more buzz around the scandal involving the former New York governor would be disappointed.
In spring this year, The New York Times unveiled the mystery
behind the treacherous matter linking the so-called “Client 9” and “Kristen,”
an employee of Emperors Club VIP, whose owners were subsequently charged under
federal prostitution and money laundering laws. The newspaper identified Eliot
Spitzer as Client 9 and Ashley Dupré as Kristen.
The 23-year-old woman’s only public remarks regarding the
affair were included in a short interview with the publication, which also
featured photos of the paramour taken from her MySpace page. She told The New
York Times that she did not want to be looked at “as a monster.”
Although some may have high expectations for the upcoming
ABC interview, Ashley Dupré is not likely to speak as loud as one would expect.
The New York Daily News wrote in a report that the delicate subject might be
discussed only to a certain extent.
