Apple Unveils New Mac OS X Leopard Update 10..5.4

Apple didn’t lose any time at all in its development process and just about a month after the release of its Mac OS X 10.5.3 update, the company now offers its latest update, the OS X 10.5.4.

Apple recommends the new OS X 10.5.4. upgrade to all its users running the Leopard operating system, in order to fully benefit from Apple’s efforts to enhance the security, stability and compatibility of the laptops.

The procedure is very simple, demanding a free download from the company’s Web site and weighing at 88 MB.

Aside from the Leopard upgrade, the company also took care of its Mac OS X Tiger and Tiger Server, releasing a Security Update called 2008 – 004, which features 10.5.4. Leopard’s security updates and protects against vulnerabilities such as Dock, Ruby on Rails interpreter, CoreTypes, Webkit and SMB File Server. Also, the patch will take care of several issues associated with iCal, Space & Expose and AirPort.

Regarding iCal, the update will improve its reliability on a series of features connected to the iPhone, such as delegations, syncing, meeting requests and cancellation notices. Also, it will resolve a set of issues concerning the events options, the calendar and the To Dos feature.

The complete list of bugs fixed and new features enabled by the the new OS X 10.5.4. upgrade and also its download option is available for all interested users on Apple’s official Web site. The support page offers users all the needed information on the benefits of the upgrade which will surely prove to be very successful among Mac owners.
