Apple's online App Store has recently rejected an iPhone application that allowed users to jiggle a pair of breasts. The company decided that its content is objectionable. The application is called iBoobs and Apple representatives told its creator that the app will be allowed if he makes the necessary changes in order to prevent iBoobs from violating the iPhone SDK Agreement.
The iBoobs application is a computer animation of a large pair of breasts in a bikini top. Of course, shaking the iPhone makes them wobble from side to side, or up and down, depending on the movement.
The creator, Mystic Game Development of Rotterdam in the Netherlands, likely created this in order to demonstrate character animation middleware, as Mystic's main business is developing 3-D rendering engines for video-game developers. An earlier application for DOS-based PCs offered a similar function, but with the use of a mouse.
It would look like Apple may have been worried about copyright infringement more than about offending buyers, so that's why it forbid it. However, the app is really well designed and animated.
In related news, we can say that Rolando has finally hit the App Store. Rolando is the most anticipated game for iPhone and iPod touch this holiday season, as it combines the use of tilt and touch controls with the unique idea and smooth gameplay. Several reviewers have already described the app as a killer gaming application and a potential system-seller that Apple has been waiting for. The app costs $9.99 and it looks like it's really worth investing in it.
