Microsoft is continuing its ad campaign to fight back Apple. After actress Lauren and engineer Gianpaolo, it was time for Jackson, a cute kid who wants a laptop and is out to buy one with his mom, Lisa.
The focus of the ad, as expected, is the so-called Apple tax which basically alleges that Apple computers are much more expensive, but customers pay more for the little fruit on their laptop and for its cuter design, but not for better performance or quality.
Jackson and his mom are seeking a laptop that has speed, a big hard drive and is a good gaming computer and under $1,500.
"Macs, they're kind of popular with this age," says Lisa when the two are in front of a MacBook. This line is a short jab thrown by Microsoft to Apple by which it wants to say that Apple boys are much like 11-year-old Jackson.
However, the verdict is that Apple Macs are just way too expensive, as far as Lisa is concerned, and are too tiny, as far as her son is.
When the two finally get their hands on a PC, which is a Sony this time, they both exclaim “Blu-Ray!” with enthusiasm.
Question: Does it take so much time to find a PC at Best Buy? The final scene of the ad shows the two in the parking lot and its dark outside.
