No matter what they do, the Spears women are good for
business. Whether it’s an album or a book, it sells, and it sells big time.
Mother Lynne is currently promoting her new memoirs, “Through the Storm: A Real
Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World,” a book about the truth behind the
headlines, as she says.
The book is bound to be a big success, as it depicts every
aspect of the rise and fall of daughters Britney and Jamie Lynn, ever since
that infamous cover for “The Rolling stones Magazine” where the young rising
star and pop wonder Britney Spears posed in her very childhood room wearing
only underwear and hugging her Teletubbie toy.
Another shocking moment was when her younger daughter, Jamie
Lynn, gave her a note a told her to go into the bedroom and read it. "It
said she was pregnant and everything was going to be OK. She was going to raise
it ... I thought it was a joke. I was waiting for the punch line,"
confesses the now happy grandmother.
When did things get so out of control? How did Britney get
from being a talented and ambitious child to a neurotic star in distress
shaving her hair and crying on the sidewalk? How did Jamie become a mother when
she was still a child herself?
These are questions that remain unanswered in Lynne’s book,
but she says she came to peace with her life and with the life of her
daughters, admitting that she would probably do it all again, for the sake of
letting her girls fulfill their dreams.
The troubled mother
also talks about her current relationship with Britney and Jamie Lynn, saying
everything is back on track, everybody is happy and, when asked "Are you
through the storm?" she answers promptly: "Oh, yes! We're through the
storm and we're looking at the sunshine right now."
