Anne Heche is one of the most controversial American actress, director and screenwriter. The controvery revolves around her sexual orientation, as she has been involved in relationships with both men and women. In the 1990s, she dated Richard Burgi and David Forsyth. In that same time-span, she also dated Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham for about a year. It is thought that she is the character in Buckingham’s song “Come”. She also dated famous actor and comedian Steve Martin for two years. After that, she had a relationship with openly gay comedian Ellen DeGeneres (currently married to actress Portia de Rossi). Anne Heche had a troubled childhood as her father, Donald Heche, had allegedly molested her. Her father died of AIDS in 1983, after he disclosed that he was a homosexual.
Currently, Anne Heche has announced that she is expecting a baby. The father of the baby is her former co-star on “Men in Trees”, namely James Tupper. He is the man that Anne Heche left her husband Coley Laffoon for. Anne Heche and Coley Laffoon have a son together, named Homer. The two have had an ardent, strenuous battle over his custody in court, after their very public and media-covered break-up.
James Tupper was also married when he began his relationship with actress Anne Heche. Heche and Tupper currently live in Vancouver, where the show “Men in Trees” was shot. Tupper made a candid statement about his girlfriend for a local paper in Vancouver: “I wish people could meet her in person. She has such a sparkle and such a love for people, and she works so hard. She is so dedicated to all the good things.”
