Even though she is considered one of the sexiest stars ever, Angelina Jolie confessed she felt rather shy seeing herself nude in her upcoming movie, computer-animated "Beowulf."

During a conference for the movie, the 32-year-old the mother-of-four said she was shocked by how real the scene in which she performs a temptress killer lizard painted in gold looked.

"I got a little shy. I was really surprised that I felt that exposed. I didn't expect ourselves to come out as much. I didn't expect it to feel as real, and so because of especially the type of character I play, it was kind of funny at first," People quoted Jolie as stating during the Los Angeles conference.

"There are certain moments where I felt actually shy - and called home, just to explain that the fun movie that I had done that was digital animation was, in fact, a little different than [what] we expected," she added.

At the time of the shooting, the actress was three-months old with her and Brad Pitt’s first biological child, daughter Shiloh, and she admitted that her baby bump caused some trouble for the animators.

"I was three months pregnant for some of it. You wouldn't know though. We did the mapping of my body before and they worked wonders. It was a pleasure," she explained.

The most recent screen adaptation for one of the oldest known stories in English language will be released later this month. The movie will follow the story of Beowulf who comes to the rescue of King Hrothgar, played by Anthony Hopkins, whose kingdom is being taken over by Grendel.

Speaking about her character, Jolie, who plays Grendel’s mother, revealed that although she was evil she could still bond on a maternal level.

"I liked that it was a mother, who would do anything and destroy anything, if somebody hurt her son. So it was, it was the maternal side of me," Jolie was quoted by ABC as saying. "I love that that's her motivation."

"I just focused on her being evil," she said. "But, on the day [of filming], it didn't feel very sexy at all. I was in the traditional bubble head and the jump suit. And I felt absolutely goofy, especially trying to feel seductive in my jumpsuit with my dot face."
