There have been intense rumors about the production of a third sequel of “Tomb Raider” and the THR.com reporters stated that Warner Bros. and producer Dan Lin have already started the discussions about another easy-money project involving the famous games star, Lara Croft.

The same reports said that the former Lara Croft, Angelina Jolie, who played in “Tomb Raider” and “Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life,” won’t star in the third sequel. In addition, neither the newly-sexy copy of Jolie, Megan Fox, was contacted by the “Tomb Raider” producers.

But who will play the sexy Lara Croft? It’s already a fact that the movie is really being made, no matter how would the comic books or video games deserve to be put into movies. Maybe the British star Rhona Mitra, who was used as the public image of Lara Croft in 1997 and 1998 will fit the third sequel of the soon-to-become series.

The fictional character and the protagonist of Eidos Interactive’s “Tomb Raider” video game series, was designed by Toby Gard and featured in two movies, comic books, novels and a series of animated short films. Recognized as the Most Successful Human Video Game Heroine and awarded a Guinness World Record for it, Lara Croft was also honored with a star on the Walk of Game in 2006.

In 2008, Croft was chose to occupy the second place on Gamefly’s List of Hottest Chicks Ever. The beautiful, athletic and intelligent game character travels the world to find priceless artifacts. An adventurer and also an archeologist, Lara Croft usually ventures into very dangerous tombs and ruins. In her way to find the artifacts, Croft encounters enemies she has to fight against.

Her major appearance outside the video games happened in 1999 when the comic book series of “Tomb Raider” were released by Top Cow Productions. She was brought to life by Angelina Jolie in 2001.
