It seems like the troubles are far from over for the British
singer Amy Winehouse. Her spokesman announced today that Amy Winehouse will
remain in the hospital and she will undergo further tests.
Amy Winehouse was hospitalized on Monday after she briefly
fainted. Her fater, Mitch Winehouse, decided to check her in, but apparently,
the doctors have not reached yet a verdict about what caused the incident.
Meanwhile, various British tabloids and newspapers reported
that the doctors warned Amy Winehouse to kick her drug addiction.
She was expected to be released on Tuesday, but the doctors
said that additional tests are required.
Amy Winehouse is scheduled to perform on June 27 at Nelson
Mandela’s birthday concert and on June 28 at Glastonbury Festival.
However, her spokesperson declined to confirm if Amy
Winehouse will be present at these events.
He only said that the singer intends to perform at her scheduled
dates, but the final decision depends entirely on the advice of her doctors.
This is not the first time when Amy Winehouse has to deal
with health problems. Last year, the British singer was admitted to a hospital
in London suffering
from "severe exhaustion".
Earlier this year, the singer checked herself into a rehabilitation
clinic, after a video showing her taking drugs emerged in the media.
