After pulling a Britney at her husband’s court hearing yesterday by arriving very late for her husband’s court hearing, British singer Amy Winehouse declared her love for her man, Blake Fielder-Civil, as he appeared in front of a judge to face charges of assault and conspiracy.
"'I love you, handsome! Gorgeous, I love you!" a shaky Winehouse, who has been photographed recently with ex-boyfriend Tyler James, whispered as Fielder-Civil was taken back to jail.
Blake asked: "Are you all right?" She replied: "I'm OK." The display of affection seemed to quash rumors their marriage is on the rocks.
Shortly afterwards, Winehouse, who turned up at the court five minutes before the end of the routine hearing in the case involving her husband and four other men, snapped at photographers and reporters outside the courthouse: "I'm not talking to you."
During the short time Winehouse was at the hearing, her mother-in-law, Georgette Fielder-Civil, whispered in her ear and patted her hand as Blake stood behind bulletproof glass in Number Two court.
She was driven away in silver BMW. Winehouse did not reply when asked how she was, but Georgette replied: "She's fine, thanks"
At an earlier hearing, Fielder-Civil, 25, pleaded not guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent to pub landlord James King. 39-year-old Michael Brown from Holloway, north London, is also facing the same accusations.
The two are accused of conspiring to pervert the course of justice by offering Mr King a significant amount of money to withdraw his allegation and leave the country.
Anthony Kelly, 25, from Chalk Farm, north-west London and James King, 36, from Risley, Derbyshire denied the conspiracy charges at the hearing on Friday.
All four men remained in custody and are expected to go on trial on June 2.
Winehouse herself had charges against her dropped in relation to the allegations of bribery earlier this month, following her arrest in December.
