The singer’s representative said that Amy Winehouse was fine, but was being kept under observation as a precaution, and that the singer will be able to return home in a few days. She also stated that Winehouse has had treatment for her health issues, and that this hospitalization is just and extra safety measure.

Amy Winehouse was taken to the London Clinic, the same place she turned to earlier this year, during summer, when she decided to seek professional help for her drug abuse problem. Her representative denied the rumors according to which the singer was facing arrest for being charged with assault. Instead, it seems that Winehouse agreed to cooperate with the police regarding the charges.

Amy’s health problems forced her to cancer a concert in Paris in August, during the Rock en Seine festival. In July, she was rushed to the hospital after she suffered a reaction to the treatment she was receiving for her lung problems. Amy Winehouse is expected to return to her home today. Her lung problems seem quite severe – her father told the press that his daughter was suffering from emphysema, an incurable disease. According to him, the disease was brought on by Amy’s abuse of cigarettes and crack cocaine.
