The Virginia State Police and Virginia
Missing Children Clearinghouse have issued an Amber Alert for a 5-year-old
child who disappeared while shopping with his sister and grandfather inside the
Shopper’s Food Warehouse in Alexandria.
The boy was last seen at about 11 a.m. Sunday inside the store. He was shopping
with his grandfather in the Landmark Plaza Shoppers Food Warehouse in the Alexandria section of Fairfax County
when he disappeared. His grandfather told police he turned into an aisle,
looked back and the boy was not there.
His grandfather told police he searched for
his grandson for 40 minutes before he decided to call authorities.
Kamron Deveaux Wells is described as a 5-year-old
black male, 3 feet tall and 50 pounds. He has brown eyes, short black hair and
wearing a camouflage T-shirt with blue jean pants and black suede shoes. He has
a missing right front tooth. Wells lives in the Orleans Village
section, near the store.
The Amber Alert says the boy has likely
been abducted by a stranger and he is believed to be in extreme danger. The Fairfax
Police department is investigating a possible child abduction. The two may be travelling
unknown.
The Fairfax Police Department said they found
a video from a store in the Shopper’s Food Warehouse showing a still photo of a
