Terrorist group al-Qaeda confirmed the fact that its chemical/biological weapons specialist Abu Khabab al-Masri was killed in what appeared to be a missile strike in Pakistan. Al-Qaeda confirmed the death about a week after it happened, a U.S.-based intelligence group informed.

According to a written statement released by senior al-Qaeda leader Mustafa Abu al-Yazid, Al-Masri trained “lots of other experts.”

“He may rest in peace as the succession is guaranteed,'' he added according to IntelCenter, based in Alexandria, Virginia. The statement, dated July 30, did not provide any details on how or when the al-Qaeda operatives were killed.

The top chemical weapons specialist who had been working with al-Qaeda for more than 10 years was also known by the name of Midhat Mursi al-Sayid Umar. The Egyptian who was in charge of running a chemical-and-explosives terrorist training camp had a $5 million bounty on his head. He was on the U.S. State Department's list of 37 wanted terrorists.

"Although Abu Khabab is gone, he left behind him a generation who will seek revenge and punishment with God's help," the al Qaeda statement said. "And while the 'expert' is gone, he left behind experts who were taught and trained under his hands throughout the years."

The statement also wrote that Abu Mohammed Ibrahim Bin Abi al-Faraj al-Masri, Abd al-Wahab al-Masri, and Abu Islam al-Masri were killed in the missile strike as well.

Al-Masri was killed by a missile strike on July 28 in Pakistan's South Waziristan tribal area. If the reports of the missile strike are true, then the United States Army has violated Pakistan’s sovereignty, said Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.
