Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima, who has been dating NBA star Marko Jaric for nine months, is officially off the market after he proposed to her Thursday night.

According to the Minnesota Timberwolves star's publicist, 29-year-old Jaric gave Lima, who celebrated her 27th birthday on Thursday, the best present she could ask for, an engagement ring.

"He asked and she said yes. They are both incredibly happy and couldn’t be more in love," Jaric’s rep, James Weir, told People magazine.

The engagement news doesn’t really come as a surprise considering Jaric's enthusiasm about the relationship three months ago, when the two were rumored to be engaged. He admitted that even though he's not normally a romantic, the supermodel managed to bring that side of him to the light.  Jaric said that he is rather difficult when it comes to falling in love, but that rule didn’t apply when it came to Lima. They were first publicly outed back in November

Lima, who walked the catwalks of some of the world's most renowned designers, such as Vera Wang, Christian Lacroix, Emanuel Ungaro, Giorgio Armani, Fendi, Ralph Lauren and Valentino, has also made some revealing statements regarding her beliefs in no sex before marriage, "I’m not very experienced. Sex is just for after marriage."
