"Little Miss Sunshine" star Toni Collette and her husband, musician Dave Galafassi, became the proud parents of a baby girl on Wednesday.
According to Collette’s spokeswoman, the 35-year-old actress gave birth in Sydney and both mother and daughter are "very well and very happy."
The baby named Sage Florence Galafassi is the first child for the couple who have been married for four years. Collette, who sings in rock band The Finish alongside her husband announced the pregnancy in July declaring that she and her husband were "completely over the moon" about the pregnancy.
"It is strange the last three films I’ve done I have been pregnant. I’m just like, what is the universe trying to tell me? But I think everything happens when it’s meant to," the actress, who often mentioned she wanted children, said at the time.
Collette, who was nominated for a best supporting-actress Oscar for her role in 1999's "The Sixth Sense," can next be seen in a comedy titled "Hey Hey It’s Esther Blueburger" and a drama called "The Black Balloon."
