The star of “Training Day” and “Hitch”, Eva Mendes has
checked for rehab in Cirque Lodge drug and alcohol treatment centre in Sundance,
Utah.
Her rep said for People.com that the 33-year-old movie star,
“has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take
some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that,
while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support”
Eva Mendes’ rep declined to elaborate further about the
problem the actress is dealing with.
Cirque Lodge provides alcohol rehab and drug rehab treatment
services at two main facilities: the Lodge and the Studio. According to Cirque Lodge’s website the Lodge is a
private substance abuse mountain retreat while the drug treatment center at the
Studio is located near the base of Mount Timpanogos and the mouth of Provo
Canyon.
Eva Mendes, an actress of Cuban-American background, is also
known for her role in "We Own the Night", in which she played with
Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Wahlberg and Robert Duvall.
This fall, Eva Mendes will star with Meg Ryan, Annette
Bening, Debra Messing and Jada Pinkett-Smith in “The Women” and she will appear
in the fantasy thriller, "The Spirit," directed by "Sin City"
and "300" creator Frank Miller.
Eva Mendes decision was announced after today Calvin Klein
said that she will be featured in an upcoming Calvin Klein Fragrances
advertising campaign, which will debut this fall.
Eva Mendes has a long-standing relationship with the house
of Calvin Klein and has been wardrobed by Calvin Klein. She also worked with
the Creative Director, Francisco Costa, for events such as The CFDA Fashion
Awards, The Whitney Art Party, and Fashion Rocks.
