Tom Sizemore, known for his parts in "Saving Private Ryan" and "Black Hawk Down," was sentenced on Monday to 16 months in prison for violating his probation in a drug possession case.
Last week, the 45-year-old star had asked Los Angeles Superior Court judge Cynthia Rayvis for a second chance, "If you would please just give me one more chance for myself," he begged her.
Unfortunately, she ruled the alleged discovery of methamphetamine in the actor's car had violated his probation in a previous drug case.
The actor was serving a 36-month probation sentence after pleading no contest in January last year to possession of methamphetamine. He was previously ordered to serve some time behind bars but after confessing his drug addiction in court, he was granted probation.
Sizemore "has been in every program, and here he is again," Judge Cynthia Rayvis said.
He "abused the privilege of probation" and "needs to be in a lockdown setting," the judge said.
He will serve his sentence at Donovan Correctional Facility near San Diego, Calif., which has a drug rehab facility.
