Acer released its new 10-inch Netbook model, with the starting price at $349. The device is called Aspire One AOD150 and is the successor of the company’s original Aspire One.

It has an Acer Crystal Eye Web Camera, two built-in stereo speakers, a 6-cell Li-ion battery (2200 mAh), it weighs in at 2.95 lbs. Other specifications include a Mobile Intel 945GSE Express Chipset, an Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, a Multi-in-1 Digital Media Card Reader, and Acer’s InviLink 802.11b/g Wi-Fi CERTIFIED. Its measurements are 1.31 x 10.2 x 7.28 inches.
The system is already available for purchase at Amazon and J&R, and the company stated that it should reach several other retailers later this week.
The first time the device was announced, gadget enthusiasts appeared extremely excited with the upcoming release. Still, it seems that the initial response is mainly of disappointment, as there aren’t enough significant changes between the two models. The problem could be that the company did not allow a big enough time frame for properly developing the project. The first model’s appeal was related to its design, keyboard and price, and the new model should also have its strong points.
