The accusations brought against Roberto Alomar by his former girlfriend, Illya Dall, that he had unprotected sex with her although he had AIDS were dismissed by the baseball player’s current girlfriend, Maripily Rivera, the New York Daily News reported.
Illya Dall, who dated Alomar for six years, filed suit against him seeking $15 million compensation for the emotional and mental affects of AIDS phobia. She first filed suit last month in State Supreme Court in Queens, but on Tuesday, her attorneys filed papers to move the case to federal court in Brooklyn.
However, according to model Maripily Rivera this is nothing by "a vile lie."
"It's not true. It's a very delicate case," she told a Puerto Rico TV station according to newspaper Primera Hora.
She also claimed that Dall had threatened Alomar that “I will destroy you” when the two broke up in October. Dall accuses 12-time All-Star of insisting on having unprotected sex with her despite the fact that he knew that he had AIDS. She said he told her several times that he was HIV-negative.
Dall, 31, claims that Alomar soon found out that he was HIV-positive and she feared that she might be infected because of him.
Alomar’s attorney, Luke Pittoni, refused to comment about the lawsuit or the health of his client. The baseball player reportedly denied the claims. He told reporters that he was in a very good health and asked that his privacy should be respected.
