Brooke Hogan, the daughter of former wrestler Hulk Hogan, was involved yesterday afternoon in a car accident in Clearwater, which managed to close the northbound lanes for hours.

The incident happened when 19-year-old Ronald Gallmon lost control of his vehicle while attempting to change lanes and collided with Hogan’s Mercedes. Gallmon’s 1997 Toyota pushed her into the left concrete wall, stopping on its left shoulder.

Nobody was injured in the crash and so far no charges have been filed.

Initial reports said that her father Hulk Hogan was also in the car, but according to the official Florida Highway Patrol report, she had only one passenger, a friend of hers and that the accident was by no means her fault. Both cars have been wrecked a bit, each sustaining about $3,000 worth of damage.

Both parents, Hulk and Linda Hogan, immediately rushed over to the scene of the accident.

In a blog post on her MySpace page Brooke announced the accident, crediting her brother Nick and his friend John Graziano for reminding her and her friend to put on the seatbelts.

Just a few weeks ago, Hogan’s 17-year-old son, Nick, was sentenced to eight months in jail after being accused of dangerous driving that led to a very severe injury of his best friend.

Brooke Hogan has made herself known over the past few years through her music career and also for starring in the “Hogan Knows Best” reality show.
