The body of a 73-year-old man who was on a boat that
capsized was found. According to the Washington Post, authorities said that the
boat capsized over the weekend in the Chesapeake Bay.
The 73-year-old man went missing Saturday evening.
The Coast Guard in Baltimore
was informed that a catamaran had capsized off Dares
Beach south of Plum Point in Calvert County and two men were in the boat.
Rescue crews managed to save only one man.
The crews from the Coast Guard station in Talbot County,
the Coast Guard air station in Atlantic City,
N.J, Maryland Natural Resources Police and Calvert County
searched Saturday night in order to find the two missing men. Only one of them
was found alive. His condition was not made public. The man was saved by the
Calvert County Sheriff's Department, reported the Washington Post.
Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Ayla Stevens said that
the man’s body was found Sunday evening by the Maryland Resource Police. His identity
was not made public.
In the meantime, a 20-year-old kayaker went missing Saturday
afternoon in Hull Creek, near Potomac River in Virginia. He was found Sunday afternoon and
he was in a good condition.
