AT&T Releases New Worldwide Service For Its Customers

AT&T announced the release of a new service for its customers which will enable iPhone users to stay connected all over the world. The offer includes two new plans that will significantly boost the reliance on the company’s data services.

The plan was also to avoid the expensive and unsatisfactory pay-per-use international data roaming charges and offer clients more alternatives. The two plans, of 100 megabytes and 200 MB a month, will allow users to access more data, no matter their location, for smaller fees.

AT&T’s 100 MB plan is available for an additional $119.99 a month and the 200 MB plan costs an additional $199.99 a month. Both provide a variety of features such as e-mail, enhanced Web browsing, visual voice mail and many more applications.

The company released the complete list of countries where the offer applies. There are more than 200 countries where users can receive and make calls, 150 countries where users can use their e-mail and browse the Web and 60 countries where they can access AT&T’s high-speed 3G network.

Even though the new offer is much better than what AT&T offered before, it is still rather expensive, considering the fact that users can take their laptops or notebooks on their business trips or vacations and access a local wireless network no matter the location. It is all a matter of comfort and we’ll have to wait and see if the service will be indeed considered helpful.

AT&T is the largest provider of both local and long distance telephone services in the United States and also Apple’s sole carrier in the country. Besides its voice services, the company also provides wireless high-speed Internet access.
