73-Year-Old Austrian Accused Of Incest With Hostage Daughter

A 73-year-old Austrian has been arrested after being accused of an extremely disturbing wrongdoing.

Apparently, the man may have been hiding his daughter in a cellar for almost 24 years and fathered seven children with her.

The investigation began with one of the teenage children who fell ill and needed immediate medical assistance. At the Amstetten hospital, in order to provide the best appropriate treatment, the doctors requested the mother’s medical history.

It was then that the suspect, Josef F, released the mother and two other children from the cellar. The woman, Elisabeth F, appeared extremely disturbed and has been receiving medical and psychological treatment ever since entering the hospital.

She was believed missing ever since 1984 and is now 42 years old. Apparently, out of the seven children, one died at birth. The rest were separated: three were kept in the cellar with their mother and three were raised by their grandparents.

Elisabeth F. gave a complete statement to the police, telling them about the continuous sexual abuses and also horrible treatment that she had to endure for the past 24 years. According to the Associated Press, she only agreed to the discussions after being assured that she would not have to deal with her father ever again.

The police investigation in Amstetten, Lower Austria Province is expected to bring light on the case and some official announcements are soon to follow.

The awful news made people recall another shocking event that took place in 2006, when a young woman escaped after being imprisoned for 8 years in an underground dungeon.
