“24” Is Back For Season Seven

The real-time thriller, “24” is back on Fox for its seventh season, starting January 11. After former Counter Terrorism Unit badass Jack Bauer’s CTU is disbanded, he has to answer for his excesses before a Senate subcommittee. He is a fictional spokesman for Mr. Cheney and the ones like him, who are under attack because they say that torture is necessary as to combat terrorism.

After Bauer had some extreme methods to interrogate the people like Mr. Cheney, he now is the victim of a liberal inquisition. Season 7 is believed to be the first one which won’t feature CTU, because it appears to have been disbanded by the U.S. government at some point after the events of Season 6.

This Sunday, the show premieres its seventh season during 2 hours after its release was postponed due to the writers’ strike. The show will air in the United States at 8:00 a.m. and presents the major national security incident which takes place when the firewall responsible for protecting America's government computer infrastructure is breached.

Several seasons of “24” have had torture and mortal debate circling its stories. The sixth season, for example, was full of horrible scenes of torture and the creators of it, Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, designed also some character to describe their opinions about torture with labored intensity.

“24” is broadcast by Fox Network in the United States and syndicated all over the world. The show aired for the first time on November 6, 2001, with an initial 13 episodes. 11 more episodes were ordered later. The first six seasons were centered on the Los Angeles branch of the United States government Counter Terrorist Unit.
