Just one day away from MySpace’s announcement about its profiles’ export, social network Facebook reported that a similar feature will be available on the web site over the next few weeks and it shall be launched under the name Facebook Connect. The main differance between the two offers is that while MySpace will open the offer to a select group of sites, Facebook will allow the move of personal profiles to any web site willing to host them. When Rupert Murdoch said he isn’t investing in newspapers anymore he really meant it. The media tycoon, major shareholder, chairman and managing director of News Corp, announced he decided to withdraw the bid to purchase Tribune Co's Newsday newspaper, a spokesperson said on Saturday according to The Wall Street Journal. Microsoft Corp, the American multinational computer technology corporation, appealed the record fine of 899 million euros ($1.4 billion) imposed by the European Union nearly two moths ago. The world's largest software producer filed the appeal at the European Court of First Instance in Luxembourg (the second-highest court in the European Union) according to Microsoft spokesman Jesse Verstraete.
