patients with follicular B-cell lymphoma, US researchers found.
Follicular B-cell Lymphoma is a type of non-Hodgkin’s
lymphoma that attacks the immune system. A B-cell is type of lymphocyte or
white blood cell, which is responsible for defending the body against bacteria
and other types of pathogens that cause illness.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced Thursday, July 17, that it has determined that fresh tomatoes now available in the domestic market are not associated with the current outbreak of Salmonella Saintpaul. The statement also removes the crippling June 7 warning against eating certain types of red raw tomatoes, which nearly brought to its knees the tomato industry. A study published on the July 22 issue of the Journal of the
American Medical Association called for more aggressive action against
tuberculosis, after it had discovered an increase in the number of foreigners
in the US
infected with TB.
Although TB cases in the US dropped 45 percent between 1996
and 2006 (from more than 25,000 to less than 14,000), according to the US

As calories count the most in the struggle against obesity, a new rule demanding
New York chain restaurants to put calorie
information right on their menus took effect on Friday, thus marking a first for a U.S.
city.
As part of a campaign against obesity, the regulation requires restaurants
