Who would have thought that even water might lead to type 2
diabetes. It’s not exactly the water, but the low levels of arsenic found in
the tap water used by 13 million people in the United States.
According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, the
levels of inorganic arsenic should not be higher than 10 micrograms per liter,
but the study conducted by Ana Navas-Acien, of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg

Antidepressants were linked to poor driving by a team of researchers from the University of North Dakota in a study presented during the weekend at the Annual Convention of the American Psychological Association in Boston. The study was titled “The Effects of Antidepressants on Cognitive and Driving Performance.” The researchers led by Holly J. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced on Friday an
upcoming public meeting, scheduled for next month, which will deal with the
safety issues raised by a chemical discovered in baby bottles and several other
similar products.
The chemical, bisphenol A or BPA, is known for affecting
children and animals and as soon as the discovery was made public, people
demanded immediate action. In response, the FDA, backed-up by the European

An outbreak of Legionnaires' disease occurred at a senior
housing complex in Elmira
and officials are expected to offer more details about the incident today.
Health officials say six residents of the New York complex have been affected by the
disease and that one of them died. The 75 year old Anna Marie Tongate died
