The Environmental Working Group has found out that four out of five brand-name sunscreens are not adequate for consumers, after testing about 1,000 products. New research suggests that high levels of so-called “good” HDL
cholesterol not only reduce risk of heart disease but also may help prevent loss
of memory. Such loss of memory often precedes the development of dementia such

Thinking about getting pregnant through in vitro
fertilization (IVF)? Then the time couldn’t be better, as Stanford University

to grow for about 5 days. Then, the ones that are deemed most viable are
selected for implanting into the woman's uterus.

The World Health Organization unveiled on Monday a new
diagnostic test that will give doctors the possibility to discover multi drug-resistant
tuberculosis (MDR-TB) within hours instead of months.
The current method involves taking saliva samples, which
have to be incubated for as many as 60 days in order for microbacteria to grow
and be tested against different antibiotic compounds. Therefore, it takes up to
three months to discover MDR-TB. This is the main reason why only 2 percent of
MDR-TB cases worldwide are diagnosed and treated appropriately.
With the new...
