After “Smile”, the revival of a lost Beach Boys project,
Brian Wilson brings out new material, with far less history and torment
attached to it, but with more enthusiasm and insight. “That Lucky Old Sun” is
due to hit the market on Tuesday.
The sole surviving Wilson
brother sees this new album more as a confession and, in the same time, a look
back on his years as a young musician in sunny California but also on his solo efforts
after the Beach Boys broke up. ''I wasted a lot of years'' he laments, but
recovers quickly in a more optimistic note and sings: ''I'm filling up my...

Rudolph, a spokesperson for Britney Spears’ manager, denied the rumors about Britney
making an on-stage appearance at MTV’s Video Music Awards this year, MTV.com announced

It’s no surprise that MTV decided to let Britney open the
Video Music Awards ceremony with no performance involved, after the disaster she made
last year of “Gimme More.”
But still, MTV president Van Toffler thinks the 26-year-old
singer will be the show’s main attraction, whether she sings or not.
Britney’s appearance at Sunday’s event in Los Angeles will
reportedly feature something “fun and unexpected.”
In a statement, Spears talked about the important role that
MTV played in her career, saying she was very excited to open the show and
greeting her fans. She also expressed...
